Competitors Analysis & Research Process

The Research and Competitor Analysis team is encouraged to work together to analyze the competitors, research the market and technologies, etc.

Audience

Please note, all our audiences are businesses in Canada & the USA. The content should be within their culture and understanding.

Please narrow down the audience (potential clients) of your content. For example,

  • size of businesses:
    • small businesses
    • mid-sized businesses
  • Identify the characteristics and type of target businesses
    • new businesses: might be more flexible to changes
    • old businesses: maybe it's more difficult for businesses that are operating for a long time to adapt to new changes
    • businesses that are going through upgrades
    • startups
  • Are we targeting the owner of a business or an employee working there?
  • Location of businesses:
  • Does this subsite target a specific location? Or multiple locations? We might need to make different pages or even subsites for each location.

Competitor Analysis

Regarding the competitors (first priority is Canada, the second is the USA), study the following:

  • What services do they offer?
  • How do they present the service?
  • What is their priority service?

Research about the services they provide and list them. i.e. write the title of services along with a description for each service.

Interview

Please interview with the Experts in the industry. You can write your questions, and we'll ask them from experts on your behalf.

They must submit their work results on Google drive on the Research & Market Analysis folder.

At least two members (can include the person who did the job) must verify the competitors' analysis and research.
