WordPress and Woocommerce Developer (Remote)

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Possess expert level WordPress & Woo-commerce experience; maintain best-in-class development and technical design principles
Support high-quality standards for coding and workflow; conduct code reviews to ensure adherence
Drive production best practices; actively working to deliver within scope and on time
Maintain quality guidelines for browser and device support, uphold design fidelity standards, functionality testing, and website performance
Closely oversee performance of critical tasks including live site migrations, site maintenance and emergency fixes

Required Technical Skills & Experience

3+ years recent WordPress design experience, including the use of WooCommerce
Experience manipulating and customizing WordPress themes
Comfortable adding/troubleshooting various WordPress plugins
Ability to work with/create hard-coded non-WordPress sites
An understanding of modern responsive web standards required (HTML5, mobile web
Experience building responsive sites
Proficiency in HTML, PHP, CSS3, and MySQL
Server management experience with tools and processes such as cPanel, PHPMyAdmin, and DNS
Proficiency in JavaScript Development and Libraries/jQuery
Proficiency with the WordPress Coding Standards, approaches and common APIs
Strong knowledge of SEO principles relevant to website development
Always working towards code optimization and performance improvements
Passionate about writing beautiful and clean code

UX Responsibilities:

Work closely with the content production team to structure websites and design prototypes.
Design and deliver wireframes, user journeys and mockups
Work with the Programming Team to ensure the implementation matching the intention.
Analyze the data collected by Google analytics and other analytical tools.

Ability to effectively translate business requirements into features and functional outputs

Fluent in English, written and spoken
